img16Paul McNeff, Founder – Received his B.A. degree in Choral/Vocal Music from Cal State Long Beach and his M.A. degree in Vocal Performance from Cal State Fullerton. Additionally, he has studied with many of the leading choral conducting pedagogues of our day, including Robert Shaw, Roger Wagner, and Paul Salamunovich. He has performed professionally with Opera Pacific, Irvine Camerata, L.A. Master Chorale, Pacific Chorale, Master Chorale of Orange County and the Robert Shaw Festival Singers. He has consistently led his choirs in performances that have inspired audiences throughout the world. Paul has also served as Director of Choral Ministries at the Crystal Cathedral where he led the Hour of Power Choir before a weekly television audience of 20 million people. In 1997 he founded KidSingers. He is currently minister of music at First Presbyterian Church in Santa Ana, where the KidSingers’  often perform their concerts.
img17Beverly McNeff, Co-Founder – “Mrs. Cool”! With a degree in theater arts from Portland State University in Oregon, Beverly was a talent agent in Hollywood and brings years of professional performance experience to the KidSingers’  program. “Mrs. Cool” (as she is known by the kids) provides the children with the training they need to not only perform wel,l but to increase their skills in self-esteem and confidence. In 1978, Beverly founded Miracle Distribution Center, a non-profit organization which which promotes a program of spiritual psychotherapy through forgiveness. She is married to KidSingers’ founder, Paul McNeff, and they live in Anaheim Hills with their son, Jeffrey.
img17Sandy Brisbin has years of administrative experience working in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Prior to working for KidSingers, she was employed for five years as the Assistant to the Emergency Shelter Program Director for Human Options, a non-profit domestic violence agency, providing service to abused women and their children. Sandy has served as the Program Director for KidSingers since 2004. She states, “Working with these kids is the most rewarding work I have ever done. They come to us painfully shy — some not able to even look at whoever is talking to them. By the end of their first season these same kids are raising their hands to audition for solo pieces that they will sing in concerts in front of hundreds of people.”
img17Lianne Brewer grew up in Southern California, and has a BA in Music from California State University, Los Angeles. She has been teaching music to children for more than 30 years. She taught private piano for many years, and then studied early childhood music in Salzburg, Austria and in Chicago, IL. After getting married, she and her husband moved to Springfield, IL where she started, and still owns, an early childhood music studio called “The Music Factory.” Children from birth up to age 10 are enrolled in music classes there! She and her husband, Greg, returned to Southern California in 2013, and Lianne started volunteering for KidSingers in the fall of 2014. After two years of assisting with Act 2, she became the director of Act 2 for the 2016-17 season.
yesiYesenia (Yesi) Navarro Garcia is a graduate of Chapman University where she received her degree in Choral Studies. Yesenia continued her studies at California State University, Fullerton, and received her teaching credential. She came to KidSingers in 2010 as an Associate Director and quickly won the admiration of staff and KidSingers alike. During her tenure at KidSingers, Yesenia met and fell in love with Mauricio Garcia, who had already graduated out of the program and had been coming back to volunteer as an intern. They were married in 2013. After three years with KidSingers, Yesenia took on a full time choral music teaching position in the Palm Springs area. In the summer of 2016, she took on a new music position in Garden Grove teaching K-6 Vocal Music. With their move back to Orange County, we welcomed Yesenia and Mauricio back to the KidSingers family to resume her work as Associate Director.
itsaiAndrea Hilliard was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. She grew up singing and playing music instruments for children’s ensembles. Andrea graduated from the University of Indonesia with a degree in French Language and subsequently studied music at Singapore Bible College, majoring in Voice. After coming to California in 2004, she pursued a Master of Music in Vocal Performance degree at Azusa Pacific University. Andrea joined KidSingers in the summer 2017 as Associate Conductor. Besides teaching at KidSingers, she is active as a professional singer with groups in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and as a soloist, adjudicating and giving training to church choirs. Andrea has taught piano and voice lessons and has directed many choirs of varying ages in churches and other locations. Andrea and her husband Don live in Anaheim with their feline boys, Dell and Taylor.
itsaiItsai Casillas – After seven years in the KidSingers program, Itsai Casillas graduated in 2015 with $3,500 in KidSingers Scholarship money. Itsai is presently enrolled at the University of La Verne with a major in Business Finance. He currently owns a financial marketing firm based in Orange County, and has come back to KidSingers to be an intern/associate director of MasterClass, as well as doing Production Management work. We are so proud to have “home grown” talent coming back to KidSingers teaching and giving of their time and talent to a program that meant so much to them in their development.
